Member Services: Individual Members
What is my member number?
Your USRowing member number can be found on the membership card that was mailed to you shortly after purchasing a membership. If you forgot your member number, you can locate it online at: http://www.usrowing.org/join/MemNumUserLookup.aspx. If you are still having trouble, call USRowing’s main line at 1-800-314-4769 or e-mail members@usrowing.org.
What is my password?
Your default password is your current zip code. If you changed your password from its default setting and can’t remember it, call the USRowing main line at 1-800-314-4769 or e-mail members@usrowing.org.
Where do I go to renew my individual membership?
Renewing your membership can be done online at: http://www.usrowing.org/join.aspx. If you don’t want to pay with credit card, you can submit an application via fax, scan or regular postal mail. The form can be downloaded here. Please e-mail to members@usrowing.org or fax to (609) 924-1578.
Can I reset my password?
Yes. If you changed your password from the default zip code and need help resetting, you can call the main line at 1-800-324-4769 or e-mail members@usrowing.org. If you know your password and can successfully log in, you have an option to change your password under Update Your Profile.
Can I renew my waiver-only number?
Yes. You are now able to renew an expired waiver number. Much like a full-privileged membership, you will need that waiver-only number and the password (your current zip code by default, unless changed by you.)
What if I have multiple member numbers associated with my name? Which do I renew?
You may have multiple waiver numbers associated with your name. If you are unsure which number to renew, check with your coach to see which number he or she has stored in your profile with RegattaCentral. If he or she doesn’t use RegattaCentral, you can renew whichever waiver number you choose. Please note: If you have a full-privileged member number, you should sign your wavier under that number and NOT obtain a new waiver number.
Can I update my profile on the USRowing Web site or do I need to contact USRowing?
Now you have the ability to update your profile online at: http://www.usrowing.org/join.aspx.
What are the benefits of being an individual member?
A list of benefits can be found at: http://www.usrowing.org/About/MembershipBenefits.aspx.
What is the price of a full-privileged membership?
For athletes 26 years old and younger, the cost of membership is $45. For athletes 27 and older, the cost of membership is $65.
What’s the difference between individual full-privileged membership and a waiver-only membership number?
Full-privileged membership is a membership you purchase, which provides you eligibility to receive our many member benefits. A waiver-only number is a FREE profile that is created for the athlete and allows him or her to sign a waiver (release of liability) online.
Do I have to be an individual member of USRowing to row in any regatta in the U.S.?
If you are racing for a member organization, most regattas sanctioned by USRowing do not require a full-privileged membership to compete. If you are racing unaffiliated, all members of the boat must be individual members of USRowing at all registered regattas. Regardless, you will need to sign a waiver (release of liability) to participate in any registered regatta.
The only regattas that require full-privileged memberships for all individuals are events that are hosted by USRowing. A list of those events can be found at http://www.usrowing.org/Events.aspx.
Can I get a one-day/weekend pass to participate?
For indoor events, we do offer a two-day pass for $10. If you are interested in purchasing a two-day pass, please call 1-800-314-4ROW or e-mail members@usrowing.org
Can I cancel my membership if I am no longer rowing?
While your membership can be canceled at any time, we will only refund money within the first 30 days of purchase, pending that you have not raced at any regattas under that member number.
Can I renew my old member number if significant time has elapsed between renewals?
Yes. We do not discard old numbers, even if there have been several years between active membership. If you would like to renew an old number, visit: http://www.usrowing.org/join/MemNumUserLookup.aspx. If you have problems, please call 1-800-324-4769, and we will assist you in resurrecting your old number.
Do I have to obtain a waiver-only number in addition to my full-privileged membership?
No. Please use your full-privileged membership number to sign your waiver.
When should I renew my individual membership?
Your membership expires one year from when you joined or renewed. For example, if you joined in March of 2010, your membership will expire in March of 2011. However, if you forget to renew that month, you can pick up and renew at any time.
USRowing requires an individual membership, but I have an organizational membership. Does that count as the same thing?
No. If you are rowing at an USRowing-hosted event, you are required to have an individual membership. A list of those events can be found at http://www.usrowing.org/Events.aspx. An organizational membership will work just fine for all other sanctioned or non-sanctioned events in the United States.
What is the Rowing Outreach Membership?
On a trial basis, USRowing will offer high school athletes who
demonstrate economic need the opportunity to become USRowing
full-privileged members at the reduced fee of $10 per year through its Rowing Outreach Membership program. Please click here for more information.
