Rules of Rowing

Over the last nine months, the USRowing Rules of Rowing have been completely restructured. The new rules are divided into three sections:

1. The Rules of Racing, which provide the competitor and coach with guidance on the basic rules used at a regatta;

2. A Referee Procedures Manual, which describes the process used to officiate a regatta; and

3. An LOC Guidance Manual, which provides the Local Organizing Committee with the procedures to be followed in setting up and hosting a regatta.

The 2015 Rules of Rowing are designed to be more user friendly.  They provide a clear understanding of the procedures required by USRowing to regulate, officiate, and host a regatta.
